Tunisia Design Week è la fiera dedicata al design, organizzata dalla “Tunisia Design Organization” (TDO), che si è tenuta dal 25 al 27 ottobre scorso presso il capannone H2 del porto di La Goulette.
Tunisia Design Organization (TDO) è un’associazione fondata nel 2019 da Sonia Hafaiedh, Sarra Hafaiedh e Basma Dellagi Kadhi, che mira a promuovere la Tunisia attraverso la progettazione e lo sviluppo del know-how dei designer tunisini a livello nazionale e internazionale.
TDO fa parte dell’Organizzazione mondiale del design “WDO”, una ONG con oltre 160 organizzazioni in tutto il mondo: scuole / università, professionisti, aziende, agenzie di design e membri associati, che rappresentano quasi 400.000 designer.
È in questo contesto che la Tunisia Design Organization ha tenuto la prima edizione della Tunisia Design Week, dal 25 al 27 ottobre 2019 a Tunisi, sotto l’egida dell’Ambasciata dell’Unione Europea in Tunisia.
Durante questo evento di 3 giorni, in cui il design del prodotto è stato protagonista, talenti emergenti, ma anche marchi affermati e gallerie d’arte hanno vissuto un’opportunità di scambio e condividisione di conoscenze attraverso diverse conferenze e workshop, con molti ospiti del settore.
La Tunisia Design Week è stata un’occasione per evidenziare il design tunisino, per dare voce al fatto che il design è una leva di forte crescita economica, che può essere implementata in tutti i settori tra cui industria, artigianato, servizi, digital, ospitality.

Tunisia Design Week is the trade show dedicated to design, organized by the “Tunisia Design Organization” (TDO), held from last 25 to 27 October at the H2 shed of the La Goulette port.
The association has been founded in 2019 by Sonia Hafaiedh, Sarra Hafaiedh, and Basma Dellagi Kadhi, which aims to promote Tunisia through the design and development of Tunisian designersʼ know-how on a national and international level.
TDO is part of the World Design Organization ‘WDO’, an NGO with more than 160 organizations worldwide: schools/universities, professionals, companies, design agencies and associate members, representing nearly 400,000 designers.
It is in this framework that Tunisia Design Organization will be holding the first edition of the Tunisia Design Week exhibition on 25-27 October 2019 in Tunis, under the aegis of the Embassy of the European Union in Tunisia.
During this 3-day event, in which product design was protagonist, emerging talents and studios, but also well-established brands and art galleries lived an opportunity to exchange and share knowledge through several conferences and workshops, with many sectorial guests.
Tunisia Design Week has been an opportunity to highlight Tunisian design, to bring the voice that design is a lever of powerful economic growth, which can be deployed to all sectors including industry, craft, services, digital, hospitality.
